Scanning tunneling microscopy has shown to be of invaluable relevance in the positioning and control of atoms in surface, which dates back to the work by Eigler et.al where Xenon atoms were positioned in a single-crystal surface of Nickel. In the recent years, an increasing interest in magnetic molecules has motivated novel experiments where magnetic molecules adsorbed on surface have been probed with electrical measurements and the atom-by-atom magnetic interactions have been tailored both in magnitude and direction, fitting the measurements to the typical RKKY characteristic behavior (Jens Wiebe, Alexander A. Khajetoorians, 2012, et.al). Motivated by these class of experimental set ups I consider a generalized theoretical formulation to predict electrical signatures of the magnetic behavior of metal-hydrides adsorbed on surface and probed by an STM tip as well as in analogous systems such as molecular electronic devices that impose a constraint on the localized spin moment exhibited by the metallic center in the molecule, looking forward at quantum state manipulation and at information science capabilities.
