Supernovae (SNe) are the explosions of dying stars, and during the violent end of their lives much, if not all, of the stellar matter is expelled into the surrounding space. After the initial explosion the SN ejecta will expand and cool, and molecules and dust form. We are currently implementing a new chemistry module (which includes molecular formation) in the SN spectral modelling code SUMO. By comparing our new model results with future observations from James Webb Space Telescope we hope to provide unique tools to constrain the chemistry and further our understanding of the nucleosynthesis yields, of different types of supernovae.
